no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH

Posted: November 27, 2013 in Linux

You may receive this error when you install programs by configure/make/make install

The reason is that you didn’t install the gcc properly. To quick resolve it,

For Redhat/CentOS:

yum groupinstall "Development tools"

For Debian/Ubuntu:

sudo apt-get install build-essential
